"Night on the Streets" is a community education and fundraising event to prevent and combat the trafficking of LGB and Transgender youth in South Florida. The event will take place from 7pm, May 14 through 7am, May 15 in the Wynwood Arts District in Miami, Florida.
The fundraiser benefits 5 local and national nonprofit organizations: Ark of Freedom, Miami Bridge, National Runaway Safeline, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and Project Safe, a collaborative of The Alliance for GLBTQ Youth and Pridelines Youth Services. These organizations are combating the trafficking and exploitation of homeless, abandoned, runaway and thrown away youth in South Florida.
On April 9th executives, notables, community leaders, students, private citizens, corporate groups and other change agents will come together to literally spend a night on the streets in solidarity with the homeless youth in our community at risk for human trafficking; to support these non-profits and the youth they are tirelessly working to get off the streets.
